Ralphie Returns Home After 39 Years in 'A Christmas Story Christmas' Holiday Sequel
The classic holiday flick will be reprised with a sequel after 39 year wait
After 39 long years, Ralphie returns home for Christmas (and you fans) as Peter Billingsley reprises his original role from the holiday classic.
The first trailer has been released and shows Ralphie returning home after the death of his father. In short, he will be challenged to have a Christmas that rivals those of his past youth.
Take a peak at the trailer below, as there are several call-backs to the original film that many fans will be excited to see.
Several original roles are being reprised from their original actors, notably those of R.D. Robb and Scott Schwartz (Schwartz and Flick). Julie Hagerty plays Ralphie’s wife, and even Scut Furkus will return played originally by Zack Ward.
The classic 80’s holiday flick has stuck around as a cult classic throughout the years, and the sequel has heavy shoes to fill in terms of replay value. Regardless, we can be assured that die-hard fans will be giving this a shot, perhaps even living up to the status of the original.
