A Husband Forgot His Wife After a Pee Break Then Drove 100 Miles Without Her
A husband in Thailand caused his wife to walk 20 kilometers (12.5 miles) after leaving her stranded at the side of the road.
In a twist that could only happen in real life, a husband in Thailand left his wife stranded at the side of the road, forcing her to walk 20 kilometers to their destination.
Boontom Chaimoon and his wife Amnuay were driving through Thailand on Christmas Day when Boontom pulled over to the side of the road at 3:00 AM to relieve himself.
Amnuay headed into the bushes for privacy, but when she returned to the roadside, she found that Boontom and the car were both gone.
Worried about being stranded at 3:00 AM, Amnuay began walking towards the district of Kabin Buri, which was 20 kilometers away.
20 kilometers, for reference, is about 12.5 miles.
At 3AM. You're kidding.
She arrived two hours later at 5:00 AM and attempted to contact her husband, who was none the wiser that she was no longer in the car with him.
However, she had forgotten what her husband's phone number was. Hence, she had to rely on authorities to try and get in contact with him per Thailand Posts English.
Could it get any more complicated?
Boontom eventually realized what had happened and drove to meet Amnuay, apologizing profusely for leaving her behind.
Despite the ordeal, Amnuay said that the couple didn't argue about the incident and that they have been married for 27 years and have a 26-year-old son together.
I cannot help but laugh at this story. How on par is this with grievances that we have on a daily basis?
I can't send my husband to the store without him forgetting something or needing to call me once or twice to confirm everything, and this guy just completely forgets his wife on the side of the road when he goes to urinate.
Maybe after 27 years, he was just in desperate need of some alone time.
Whatever the case, it seems that all's well that ends well in this bizarre story of a husband who left his wife stranded on the side of the road.
